Attitude Aviation Ugandawas built around a simple idea: Uganda's aviation industry needed a training centre that could take someone with no aviation background and get them to industry-ready, without cutting corners on the standards that global airlines and cargo agents actually check for. We're based at Plot 34 Kiwafu Close, Entebbe, Uganda — minutes from Entebbe International Airport, in the part of the country where the industry we train people for actually operates.
We operate as an IATA Authorized Training Center, registered under UG-AAU-01-23-001. That means our diploma programs — Foundation in Travel & Tourism with Amadeus, the Cargo Introductory Diploma, and Airport Operations Fundamentals — follow the same curriculum and assessment standards used by IATA training centres worldwide, not a locally improvised version of them. When a graduate of ours applies to an airline, a ground handler, or a freight agency, the certificate they carry is one that industry recruiters recognise on sight.
Training is our core, but it isn't the whole of what we do. Alongside our IATA diploma programs, we coordinate flight training pathways — Private and Commercial Pilot's Licences flown on Cessna 172 aircraft — through vetted training organisations, and we track every student's flying hours and certifications until they qualify. We also run an aviation consultancy for organisations that need help with operational planning, staffing, or entry into the sector, we stock and sell pilot supplies through our pilot shop, and we publish an aviation blog covering careers, industry news and practical guidance for people finding their way into the field.
Our students come from across Uganda and East Africa with different starting points and different destinations. Some are aspiring cabin crew and ground operations staff aiming for their first airline job. Others are already working in logistics or freight and want the Cargo Introductory Diploma to formalise skills they've picked up on the job. Many come through our Travel & Tourism with Amadeus program because they want to work reservations, ticketing, or tour operations and need real GDS experience, not just theory. And a growing number are future pilots, starting ground school with us before moving into flight hours. What they share is a plan to build a career in aviation, travel or logistics, and a need for training that a regional or international employer will actually recognise.
Training a stone's throw from Entebbe International Airport isn't incidental — it puts our students close to the airlines, freight operators, ground handlers and general aviation activity that their qualifications are aimed at, and it keeps our own instructors current with how the industry actually runs day to day.
If you'd like to know more about a specific program, visit our Training Programs or Services pages, or get in touchdirectly — we're happy to talk through which path fits where you want to go.
